Steers Test

A BRCC certified steersperson is responsible for the safety of the dragon boat crew, equipment, and for enforcing the BRCC Operating Rules. The steersperson directs the operation of the dragon boat and is responsible for dock safety and security. Steersperson candidates must demonstrate a complete knowledge of the BRCC Operating Rules to be fully certified.

This test is designed to assess the steersperson candidate’s knowledge of BRCC Operating Rules essential for certification. In addition to the written test, candidates must pass an on-the-water proficiency test.
